Archer: Featured Rescue

Meet Archer! Young male rottweiler.

Each month we want to feature a dog who has come into the Vancouver Animal Shelter, through no fault of their own, needing a soft place to land and a something to call their forever home.

Archer was found abandoned with his sister tied to a tree. He has been waiting for his special someone since last August – far too long for such a sweet and trainable boy. He is starting to show a bit of depression from being in the shelter for so long and with his fantastic temperament, we want to help him find his new home by increasing his visibility to the dog public.

Archer has a nice short coat that is easy for care for, is house broken and great with children. Despite his big-boy size, Archer walks nicely on leash, loves his snuggles and is gentle. He is described as smart and trainable. He needs some guidance around other dogs and that is where we can step in!

For each dog we feature, we offer a $90 off discount for three, one-hour private lessons. The usual price of $390+gst will be dropped to $299+gst. This includes an initial zoom, and then two private hourly lessons in Kitsilano. This will help to ensure each dog gets the individual guidance as they transition into their new life. For continued support, and if appropriate for the dog, we will also offer 30% off our Level One Life Skills group classes for on-going learning.
